Our Tea

How much tea comes in each box?
Our boxes contain between 36-40 grams of tea, and each product listing specifies the quantity of tea in that box.

Roughly 2 grams = 1 cup of tea. That’s 18-40+ cups of tea per box, as we recommend you steep each brew at least 2 times. Loose leaf tea can be steeped multiple times, each infusion bringing out new, unique flavors. Our favorite brews are often the 2nd steep!

Do you flavor the tea?
We do not add any flavorings to our tea. What you get is one of a kind pure tea.

Is your tea fair trade?
We source fair trade certified tea whenever possible. However, some regions do not yet have this certification available. In these cases, while we value the fair trade designation, we strive to go above and beyond, ensuring we only work direct trade, meaning we work directly with our farmers, ensuring our tea is grown under safe working conditions, cultivated using sustainable methods, and acquired at a fair price. Our farmers continue to make the highest quality tea year after year, with support and investment from our community.

Where do you get your tea?
Our tea is curated and procured from around the globe. We share the world of tea with you, bringing you tea from a new region or country each month. With each teanbox you’ll get information on the source and history of the tea, from ancient traditions to current farming practices.

Do your teas contain caffeine?
We offer new teas each month that vary in caffeine content depending on the type of tea. While most of our teas may contain caffeine, the levels are lower than that of coffee. Tea naturally contains L-theanine which, combined with caffeine, provides focus and energy without the jitters and crash you get from caffeinated coffee.

We now also offer an herbal tea box which with caffeine-free herbal blends!
